Probability Distribution
Dr Keerti Jain
Probability distributions are a fundamental concept in statistics. They are used both on a theoretical level and a practical level. It is the mathematical function that gives the probabilities of occurrence of different possible outcomes for an experiment. It is a mathematical description of a random phenomenon in terms of its sample space and the probabilities of events. Topics to be covered in this course: Random variables – discrete and continuous, probability mass function (pmf) and probability density function (pdf), Cumulative distribution function (cdf). Bernoulli and Poisson processes, Introduction, Properties and application of Binomial, Poisson and Normal distributions.
Who will benefit
Anyone who want to pursue or who is pursuing degrees in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering and Management should attend this course.
